1The "Invisible Landscapes" exhibition, where the works of five local and foreign artists will be exhibited, approaches landscape which is one of the main themes of art, with contemporary forms and concepts. Urban views, that dominate our landscape today where natural views wear thin, constitute the focus of the "Invisible Landscapes" exhibition. The exhibition also opens to discussion, the meaning of nature for the urban man who lives with views of concrete, glass and steel.
Marcus Graf, the curator, summarizes content of the exhibition as follows: "Today, we are faced with a paradox; the modern man who converted the untouched landscapes to urban views by destroying the nature, because of being romantic, now wants to knit up with, and return to nature by creating a mixture of real and virtual worlds - an impossible dream...", and says that the works in the exhibition have the characteristics of being mind games on nature. The "Invisible Landscapes" exhibition sponsored by Siemens, comprises installation, drawings and paintings.
