1Siemens was found worthy of award based on its superor qualities such as innovator technology and price/performance value.
Siemens's "award winner product" was developed for the small size corporate customers who wish to communicate easily through Internet Protocol (IP).While in corporate networks the keying operation is done by a complicated telephone system, in BiziIP solution, HiPath transfers the keying sense to IP telephones. Thus, the telephones obtain access to IP network by connecting to a local area network (LAN) and they make their own configurations with the help of the integrated peer to peer software.
Siemens took its award at the ceremony organized in Germany. The editor-in-chief of TeleTalk magazine, talked about the Siemens solution with the following words of appreciation, at the award ceremony: "We want to report to our readers the leading developments in CeBIT in general terms. We were very much impressed with Siemens's peer-to-peer technology solution for small size corporate customers. This innovator and easy to use solution provides quick access to IP network."
Thanks to the new solution, calls can be made through Internet and ISDN at a low price. The new solution, with its service quality, reliability and flexibility responds to all the needs of the corporate customers which they previously met by traditional telephone systems, and supports all traditional telephone services such as conference calls, one-touch calls, listing of incoming calls and personal answering machine function. The system is also scalable as it ensures easy connection of 16 telephones.
HiPath BiziIP is also attractive because of its low investment cost, as it dosn't require the users to build their own communications infrastructure. The software of the solution provides significant installment and maintenance advantages as it eliminates the need for a complicated telephone configuration and as it has a Web based management.
