1Crowds, complexity, loss of a sense of orientation and place, prohibitions and hidden beauties are the subjects of the event. The "tele-City" exhibition can be visited until 1st of March 2005.
Siemens Sanat, the contemporary artistic research centre, opened its doors this year with the exhibition "tele-City". The chaos of everyday life is explained by using concepts of the big cities in the "tele-city" exhibition; it shows the complicated visions of reality experienced in big cities over the loss of a sense of orientation and place, speed, prohibitions and hidden beauties.
This exhibition is the initial phase of NOMAD's NOMAD-TV.NETWORK project, called ".01" at the same time. NOMAD aims to create a network in both national and international platforms for people working in digital culture in various fields, and it also wants to explore, reflect and discuss situations and placements in digital culture. ".01" initially aims to explore, reflect and discuss situations and placements in digital culture especially through the creation of new media in Turkey. More than 30 atelier workshops, presentations and speeches will be realized in Siemens-Sanat as a part of ".01". In the "tele-City" exhibition there is a platform for atelier workshops, presentations, performances and archive. The curators for the event are Başak Şenova and Marcus Graf.
NOMAD and Siemens Sanat are also forming an online database.During the project, special posters and objects will be produced and various publications will be realized through this network.
And the archive section, that is containing documentaries on Siemens Sanat, NOMAD, and Bant magazine, and a video work by Nancy Atakan, will be open during the exhibition.

This project can be visited between the 13th of January and 1st of March 2005, in Siemens Sanat in Fındıklı, thanks to the support of Siemens Sanat, Siemens Home Appliances, Nomad Project Channel, Goethe-Institut, Istanbul, Aviva Life and Pensions, and Bilgi University VCD.
