The Siemens opening cocktail that many guests from high society and art circles participated, cheered up by the jazz performance of Kerem Görsev Duo. Dr. Zafer İncecik, CEO of Siemens highlighted the support Siemens gave to art by saying: Revealing and gaining renown of our country's valuable sources makes all of us very proud. Creating new spaces for our youngsters that create our developing culture and art makes us happy. Siemens Art will be at the disposal of all young artists.
By featuring new talents Siemens Art aims to serve them as a platform where they could become known. Siemens Art greeted its guests with the HAYA(L)T concept. Curator Marcus Graf said in this first exhibition they wanted to demonstrate that art was a means to create an illusion of real life and reality. The first exhibition that is going to cover works of photography, painting, installation, multimedia and new media, will feature works of seven artists...Works of Ragıp Basmazölmez, Genco Gülan, Seda Hepsev, Burak Özdelice, Holger Schultz, Hakan Özer and azzano can be seen until 3 March 2004.
Five Turkish and two German a total of seven artists of HAYA(L)T exhibition, join dream and reality through different esthetical and functional approaches. The artists define the main theme in their works as showing that "dreams are an inseparable part of life".
