In cooperation with Johns Hopkins, awarded as the best hospital in USA for the last 13 years, Anadolu Healthcare Center, come into life with a view of rendering service as per international standards and taking national healthcare service one step ahead, continues construction and investment operations in full speed to receive its first patient in June 2004.

Aiming at being a healthcare center, which would give the best service throughout Turkey, Turkic Republish, the Balkan States and Middle East, Anadolu Healthcare Center shall use the state-of-art and most advanced systems and equipment with Siemens expertise.

Tuncay Özilhan, Executive Officer of Anadolu Trust Economical Organization, delivered an address in the signature ceremony of cooperation agreement between Anadolu Healthcare Center-Siemens and said: "Our aim is to contribute to Turkish healthcare sector through Anadolu Healthcare Village, a healthcare service, training and research campus that once finished we shall be proud of being the best of our region and Turkey on an area of 186 acres in Çayırova, Gebze. Anadolu Healthcare Center, the hospital department, which is the biggest investment of Anadolu Healthcare Village, shall start to receive its first patients in the next June. We are very pleased to cooperate with Siemens in order that Anadolu Healthcare Village, designed from the scratch for the first time in Turkey and constructed in compliance with all international standards, offer the most advanced technology."

While Murat Dayanıklı, Executie Officer of Anadolu Trust Economical Organization spoke in the signature ceremony and gave detailed information about recent developments and objectives of Anadolu Healthcare Center, Ufuk Eren, Director of Siemens Medical Solutions Department, made statements related to the scope of the cooperation with Anadolu Healthcare Center.

Biomedical engineering department, which shall conduct after-sale service management (maintenance/fault removal) of all medical equipment and systems installed in Anadolu Healthcare Center, shall be established by Siemens Medical Solutions. Siemens Medical Solutions shall monitor all medical equipment and systems for their protective maintenance and compliance with the current healthcare standards. In this sense, for the first time in Turkey, such a comprehensive Integrated Service Management shall come into life.

Integrated Service Management to be realized Siemens in such a comprehensive project for the first time, shall provide benefits such as reduction of service costs, consultancy service to the hospital for investments of medical equipment from the first hand and operation of medical equipment in the most effective way.

While new generation Biograph LSO scanner sold to Anadolu Healthcare Center established in Turkey through Anadolu Trust and Johns Hopkins Hospital reduces cancer examination phase to a much shorter duration, it also imparts effectiveness to nuclear medical studies. Siemens LSO PET and PET/CT systems also offers great comfort by both shortening exposure time and preparations for taking shoot.

LSO crystal used in the detector constitutes the basic of the equipment, which is used for all types of cancers and scans whole body in such a short time as 10 minutes. Compared to other crystal currently used, LSO crystal allows use of radioactive materials with lifespan half the conventional radioactive materials administered to the patients.

Siemens Medical Solutions has provided Anadolu Trust Healthcare Center with a complete solution by integrating Radiology Information and Display Systems, Radiotherapy Information System with Hospital Information Management System to ensure quick and complete monitoring of the processes that models workflow in the hospital in electronic medium.
