BSH, which was incorporated into the partnership of Siemens and Bosch in 1967, has achieved rapid growth over a short period of time and has become the number one white goods manufacturer in Europe in the electric household appliances sector.

The company now has a workforce of 37,200 and an annual turnover of 12.8 billion DM (year 2000). BSH is working towards its new goal of being the world market leader.

The Company, which has won the hearts of consumers in Turkey with the "Siemens home technology" slogan, achieved a market share of 5% in 1998 and targeted a turnover of 100 million DM.

This figure more than doubled in 2000, as Siemens became the fastest growing brand in Turkey, achieving a turnover of 240 million DM and a 6% market share. Siemens, which believes that being tested by the consumer is the best of all tests, experiences the pride and pleasure of passing such tests successfully in Turkey as well as in other parts of the world. This year the company is targeting an even higher turnover of 250 million DM and a market share of 6.5%. Besides of this Siemens is the market leader in the built - in appliances category staying for competence, performance and stylish products in this product segment.

Siemens, which produced the world's first roller washing machine, Protos, and saved housewives from the chore of hand washing, incorporates its latest technological innovations in its new product ranges. Automatic washing machines with dryers that eliminate the trouble of hanging clothes up to dry or SIWAMAT XL washing mashines protecting the cloths from crease; XXL refrigerators that store food under the most hygienic conditions; programmable multi-function ovens with glass ceramic hob; fully automatic 'intelligent' Hi - Sense dishwashers that cut down kitchen time; vacuum cleaners that filter air by 99.9%.

All these safe and functional household appliances are the examples of Siemens technology. Additionally Siemens household appliances, which are produced from 99% recycled materials, show Siemens' commitment to environmental protection beside the low energy, water and detergent usage of the concerned Siemens appliances.
