Environment Club

Siemens Environment Club was founded in 1996. 350 volunteer Siemens employees are currently members of this club. The club carries out activities like forestation, one leaf for each collar campaign, June 5 Environment Day Messages, Environment surveys, nature festival and environment awards.

In order to raise environmental awareness, elementary school students are educated about the environment. "For Environment and Our Future' project, intended to contribute to environmental awareness, had been started in 1999. The project aims at the students of 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th grades. The number of pupils in the project is around 7000 and volunteer Siemens employees involved in the project is 350. "For Environment and Our Future" project features events like tours to waste water treatment facilities, education intended to raise awareness, watching environmental-themed plays, environmental-themed art and composition competitions, participation in nature festival and exhibiting entries at the competition.
