Siemens Opera Contest

Having been held first in 1993, and which has turned into a tradition as a result of huge interest of youth, and formerly known as Siemens Art Awards, this contest recognizes achievements in areas like painting, patterns, photography, statues, films and opera.

Recently, due to huge successes in opera, the contest started to recognize achievements in OPERA category and therefore has been renamed to Siemens Opera Contest. Winners of this important contest, which is open to young Turkish opera artists between 18-30, are granted scholarships in European schools.

Siemens also every year sponsors Istanbul Music Festival as well as many other art events like theatres and exhibits.
