Caring Hands
Siemens has always been very sensitive about its social responsibilities and pays great attention to contribute to the society regardless of the prevailing circumstances. In natural disasters like flood or earthquake, our employees personally join the rescue efforts and provide their physical and moral support just like August 17 earthquake in 1999 where our volunteering employees helped the victims at the earthquake site. Believing that social responsibility should be accompanied by achievements, Siemens considers designing and applying projects intended to support the education levels of the children and university students. Our company is at the service of Turkey with its huge accumulation of knowledge, expertise and resources.

Our contributions to earthquake site

• Construction of camp site for 300 people, with a ready infrastructure
• Social service and life areas
• State-of-the-art X-ray devices and other instruments
• Construction and start-up of T.C. Sakarya University, Medical Vocational School
• Donating medical devices, computer systems, furniture and communication hardware to T.C. Sakarya Üniversitesi Medical Vocational School
• Supporting the computer laboratory at earthquake site Gölcük
